Watch permitted media on a computer

Desktop playback with VLC or official apps. Follow these steps on your own device, and check the troubleshooting resources if something doesn't work as expected.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Download VLC from videolan.org or install your streaming service’s official desktop application.
  2. For a permitted network stream in VLC, open Media → Open Network Stream on Windows or File → Open Network on Mac.
  3. Paste the authorized stream or playlist URL into the network field.
  4. Select Play / Open and verify audio and video.
  5. If the link fails, check its format, account status, and internet connection.
Helpful tipUse the service’s official application for DRM-protected content. VLC will not bypass protected playback.
Security and contentUse only official or verified applications and media sources you are authorized to access. Never share passwords or payment information publicly.
